The measure of Atomic Radii is determined by where the Proteon band intersects the Proteus (at rest). In this case the Helium Proteon band intersects the Proteus at the point where the ExV = ¾c – 1h. This state is the Default Hydrogen state of the Helium atom and in this state Helium will measure 31 (pm).

As you can see in the banded areas in the images on the HELIUM pages 1, 2, and 3 removing a ¾c  – 2h Proteon from the ¼c + 2h Proteus would be less of a task than removing the ¾c – 1h Proteon. The longer the Proteon length on the Proteus the greater the connection to the Proteus and the more stable the Proteon/Proteus bond. This also shows that the shorter the Proteon length the lesser the connection to the Proteus and the less stable the Proteon Proteus bond.
